A NEW ADDITION - OUR VOKI

Today we decided to change the look of our blog.

Instead of you, our visitors READING about WHO WE ARE on the sidebar, we thought it would be more interesting for you to LISTEN to us telling you about ourselves.

So...
we used the iPOD to RECORD ourselves talking, EDITED the recording in GARAGEBAND, SAVED it to iTUNES, then UPLOADED it to the VOKI.
You'll find our VOKI near the top of the sidebar.
We're very proud of it.
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF IT?

A PEEK AT OUR WILD SELVES

This morning we went to the library with Mrs P's class to work on the laptops.
We are showing the children in Mrs P's class how to blog.

In the hour that we were there, all of us created our 'wild self'.
We had lots of fun deciding what features to add to our 'bodies'.
Here's a peek at some of us.

Even Mrs P has a wild side!

Check back soon to see a slideshow of ALL of us in our WILD disguise.
While you're waiting, go to BUILD YOUR WILD SELF and create your own.
We'd love to see the 'wild' you, so email it to us at 2mgems@gmail.com

MRS M'S WILD SIDE!

2M,
What do you think of the 'wild' me?

I created this fantasy image at BUILD YOUR WILD SELF

I thought that this tool would give us another option when creating an on-line identity for ourselves.

How about playing with this software tomorrow when we visit the library with 2BP?
What do you think?

OUR BLOGGING RULES

Just as we have rules to keep us safe in our school, home and community, we also have rules to keep us safe while blogging.

We not only have ownership of our class blog but our own blogs as well. We have to take RESPONSIBILTY for what goes on our blogs.

Blogging is a great way talk about our learning BUT...
we have to THINK REALLY CAREFULLY before we post. There are lots of things we want to put on our blogs but we have to think...

"Is this appropriate?"

Here are the rules that we feel are really important to follow when blogging:

  • NEVER use your last name
  • NEVER write anyone else's last name or the school's name
  • NEVER write any personal details like your address, phone number, birthday or the school's details or anyone else's details
  • NEVER put up photos that directly show your face or anyone else's face.Ask permission to use a photo with someone else in it
  • NEVER leave any nasty or silly comments or posts
  • DON'T give out your password - only your teacher and parents can have access
  • Only link to 'educational' sites
  • ALWAYS have Mrs M check any sites you want to link to before you add them
  • See Mrs M if you want to upload a video or widgets. These must be checked by Mrs M BEFORE they are uploaded.
  • Be RESPONSIBLE when writing to your blog. Remember posts are meant to show what you have learnt and how.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF OUR RULES?

HAVE WE LEFT SOMETHING OUT?
