It's the day many people stop to watch the Melbourne Cup, Australia's most famous horse race.
This day has a special place in Australia's culture and history, so special that it's a holiday down in Melbourne!
The day gives us the opportunity to investigate ordinal numbers and we had fun designing and creating hats and ties to wear as we watched the race.
